Braing bugs have arrived
Looking at the new kits from Leviathan box set one stood out to me… the Neurotyrant. This this is the brainy brother of the Hive tyrant, what he lacks in claws and guns he makes up with brains. This leader beast utilises the Tyranids massive psychic presence to unleash devastating shooting attacks whilst also being capable of extending its synapse range via joining a unit neurogaunts.
This model has plenty of detail along with those big flat armour panels that take a scratchy highlight so well. I really enjoyed painting this one, it had enough interest to keep it enjoyable but not so much complexity it became frustrating. I assumed going into this paintjob that it may not take the ladybug scheme as well as id hoped… the contrasting big brain…. the weird tentacles… but I’m very happy with how it all came together.
